About Us
The Ark Open Farm is a family-run farm set across 40 acres of countryside near Newtownards. It is home to around 200 animals, including lambs, pigs, rabbits, ducklings, reindeer, and other small mammals, giving visitors the chance to get up close and enjoy hands-on experiences such as feeding and bottle-feeding.
The farm offers a variety of attractions beyond the animals. Children can explore large outdoor play areas, pedal tractors, barrel rides, tractor-trailer rides across the fields, and themed zones like the “Fairy-Tale Forest” and the “Jurassic Ark” dinosaur trail. Jumping pillows, adventure playparks, and seasonal activities provide entertainment for all ages.
Indoor facilities, including a café serving hearty meals, make the farm a comfortable destination for families. By combining animal encounters, interactive play, and countryside charm, The Ark Open Farm creates a memorable, educational, and fun-filled day out that appeals to both young children and adults alike.
