About Us
Swithens Farm is a working farm and petting-farm attraction in Rothwell, Leeds, operated by a family whose farming roots in the area date back decades. The farm has evolved into a popular day-out destination while still producing its own livestock, eggs and farm goods. Visitors can meet and hand-feed a broad mix of farm animals — cows, pigs, sheep, goats, alpacas, llamas, donkeys as well as small pets like rabbits, guinea pigs and even meerkats — and enjoy seasonal bottle-feeding of lambs and calves. The experience is hands-on and educational, giving children (and adults) a chance to learn where food comes from and experience real farm life. For fun beyond the animals there’s a soft-play barn for younger children, outdoor play areas, tractor rides and a café serving food made using farm
