About Us
Pensthorpe Natural Park is a 700‑acre nature reserve and family visitor attraction near Fakenham in North Norfolk. It brings together stunning gardens, wildlife habitats, woodland and wetland trails, and a rich nature reserve where you can spot birds, plants, and other wildlife. The park features five beautiful gardens (including a celebrated one designed by a leading plantsman), a species‑rich reserve with bird hides and wetlands, and a large nature‑inspired environment loved by wildlife enthusiasts. For families, there’s the outdoor adventure playground called WildRootz — an eco‑friendly green play area with zip wires, slides, tunnels and water features — plus the indoor play barn Hootz House, ensuring fun whatever the weather. Visitors can also enjoy easy walking trails, interactive wildlife‑watching, off‑road rides around the estate, a café and shop, and seasonal events. Beyond recreation, Pensthorpe is committed to conservation: the resident Pensthorpe Conservation Trust works to protect habitats, reintroduce endangered species, and foster an appreciation for nature and the environment.
